It’s only been a few months since the most powerful production Porsche ever was unveiled as the 1,139-horsepower Cayenne Turbo EV, and it seems that Stuttgart is already working on something even more ridiculous. New spy shots captured by our photographers in northern Sweden reveal that Porsche is developing a coupe version of the EV with a sloping roofline, but that’s not all. This prototype is wearing aggressive bodywork that takes inspiration from the GT division, and it’s not the only EV to do so; a Taycan was spotted earlier this month sporting a wide body and angry aero.

While the third-generation E3 9YB Cayenne Coupe introduced a range-topping Turbo GT version with subtly more aggressive bodywork that included a roof spoiler, centrally-mounted exhaust tups, and gold wheels, this new EV will be far less restrained. The front of this prototype doesn’t give us any clues because a placeholder bumper is installed, but the fenders reveal that this is a performance-focused machine, with black tape concealing vents that would not look out of place on a GT3 RS. The prototype also appears to have slightly more prominent wheel arch extensions, potentially hinting at a wider track for increased stability, and at the back, large vertical vents in the rear quarter confirm that this is a Turbo-based trim. We also see a large wing that appears to be fixed, and fixed wings only ever appear on Porsche’s GT products. Thus, it stands to reason that we’re looking at a Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT.
